Rare Sight

There has been knitting going on here. It is just not something that I would have normally undertaken. Golf Club Cozy as a gag prize for the club’s golf tournament for best golf outfit. A well dressed golfer should have clubs that are equally well dressed, right?

The dirty secret is that it’s made from some nasty acrylic yarn from Michael’s, hence the post title. Did you know that you can’t just break acrylic with your hands? At least, I wasn’t able to.

The remainder of the skeins will be going into a charity bag. Pronto.

Hue Magazine – Spring 2013

Hue is the Alumni Magazine for the Fashion Institute of Technology. The current issue is completely devoted to textiles, everything from first century Peruvian tunic to high tech fibers. Even better, the entire magazine is available for you to “flip” through on the web.

Enjoy!
